Ayodhya rammandir

Ayodhya rammandir

By Ritu Yadav 2 min read

After the Ayodhya verdict was announced, my family and I decided that we would be definitely visiting Ayodhya . It was the first time that I was visiting Ayodhya - the birthplace of Prabhu Shri Ram. I had never felt so happy. We all were ecstatic since a month and were really looking forward to the visit. We fixed the date and got all our travel bookings done.

My native place is near Ayodhya, like a couple of hours away. As the day was coming near, our excitement grew. We were never this excited for any darshan before.

Then, came the big day when I, along with my family, left early in the morning. We recited Bhajans, Hanuman Chalisa, Ram Stuti etc on our way.

When we reached Ayodhya, the first place we visited was the Sarayu River. The water was freezing cold. We bowed down to the mighty river which had witnessed the birth, exile and death of human form of Prabhu Shri Ram. (Thank you Onkar Vaidya for pointing out that it was the birth and death of manavatat of Shri Ram)

Then we headed towards the Shri Ram Janmabhumi Nyas Karyashala - the place where the building structures of the Mandir were kept.

After this, we visited the prototype of Ram Mandir

After that, we visited the one palace like structure (I don’t recollect the correct name at present. As far as I remember, the guide said Ram Darbar. If somebody knows, please let me know. I will add it) and Sita ki Rasoi. I don’t know how far are these two are true.

Then, we visited Hanuman Garhi. After this, we proceeded to visit Shri Ram Janmabhoomi. We reached there, parked our car in the parking zone and set off. There was quite a lot of security and monkeys.

We walked for sometime (around half an hour) after which we got darshan of our beloved Prabhu Shri Ram from a distance (around 10–15 feet away). The priest gave us prasad and we proceeded. As I write this answer, I have the complete image in front of my eyes. I was happy to get darshan.

I don’t have words to describe the feelings we experienced then. Least that I can say is, we were overwhelmed. As if our purpose of life was fulfilled. We felt surreal, blessed and at peace. This was the greatest experience of my lifetime.

As we left, we were hopeful, that when we will come back the next time, the construction of Mandir would have been completed.

If you are a Hindu who believes in Prabhu Shri Ram, you must must must visit this place at least once in your lifetime.

Jai Shri Ram🙏
